Join a dynamic team dedicated to driving value for NBA Canada's marketing partners. This person will develop and lead long-term relationships, manage contractual deliverables and work to create new opportunities to engage the NBA fan through marketing promotions. This person must have proven account management skills and be willing to push the boundaries of sponsorship activation.
Lead day-to-day account management for 7 accounts, including approval of partner advertising, media, events and other related activation plans utilizing NBA marks or assets
Track and manage contractual deliverables and all related expenses for the 7 accounts this role manages
Keep the Sr. Director of Marketing Partnerships -Canada informed of all issues and status of accounts; escalate as necessary
Day-to-day relationship builder and business lead for accounts in a variety of industry; must demonstrate a proven ability to understand different business categories
Work collaboratively across the NBA team in Toronto to deliver on marketing programs, generate branded content, execute partner media plans, events, and positive PR
Work closely with the Business Solutions team and direct manager, to pitch upsells to current partners
Must be a self-starter who can work independently Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts/ past account management experience
Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
Aptitude to learn new software or previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an asset
Strong inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Minimum of 5 years with a sports or entertainment property, promotional, advertising or sponsorship sales agency
Functional command of French an asset
University degree or College diploma in marketing, business administration or a related field
