Group Sales Support Coordinator At Sunwing Travel Group

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

The Group Sales Support Coordinator will centralize and streamline administration functions related to group sales. Triage all incoming administrative requests on behalf of the Groups Sales team. Prioritize requests that have a commercial or customer impact to action or forward on for action. Continually monitor incoming requests for efficiency, automation or elimination. The role will report to the Manager, Group Sales Support and will be located in Toronto, ON.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (may be split and assigned by Coordinator):

  • Respond or triage incoming internal administrative requests.
  • Tracking and follow up on triaged requests to ensure timely and complete responses
  • Report preparation for Groups Sales management team
  • Quality check booking margins
  • Investigate and reconcile booking discrepancies pre and post departure
  • IGQ Admin back up
  • Assist with costings training for new hires
  • Testing for new systems/applications and upgrades/fixes.
  • Reporting system errors to IT – provide status updates to team as needed
  • STAR card administration for promotions and bookings
  • Workforce management assistance and scheduling
  • Payroll administration.
  • Other duties as assigned

Major Challenges:

  • Identifying opportunities for efficiency
  • Prioritizing administrative tasks and acting quickly to ensure positive cx and seizing sales opportunities
  • Having a view of the future needs of the business whilst ensuring the quality and efficiency of current business practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years with sales experience preferably in the travel industry
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Attentive to detail
  • Demonstrates initiative
  • Able to multi task and identify and manage priorities effectively
  • Knowledge of TTS & Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Business Objects an asset

ENVIRONMENT AND SCOPE:

  • Works independently with guidance from direct and indirect supervisors
  • Support team of 50+
  • Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm
