Senior Program Associate, Accelerator Program, RBC REACH At RBC

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC REACH, delivered in partnership with Highline BETA, is a milestone-driven startup accelerator program created to speed the path to investment and commercial collaboration with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) for early-stage companies. The program targets high-impact tech start-ups with the potential to impact the way RBC supports its business and consumer clients.

You are passionate about wanting to work with startups and a large enterprise at the same time to find truly collaborative opportunities. You will operate as part of the team to ensure startup founders and internal sponsors get the most out of the RBC Reach program. Cohorts include companies from around the world focused on specific themes that are strategically relevant to RBC Ventures and more broadly RBC.

This position will report into the Managing Director, RBC Capital Partners for successful achievement of agreed upon goals and objectives, driving a high level of performance, operational effectiveness, and sustainable value creation for RBC shareholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing Canada’s first truly differentiated accelerator, uniquely focused on working with start-ups to help them to create a path to success in the financial services sector. To be successful you will need an intrapreneurial attitude as the program and role evolve. You will work as part of a team to successfully grow RBC REACH.

What will you do?

Your will be responsible for the coordination and the successful execution of the accelerator program.

  • Supporting the RBC Reach program directors and managing director with day to day execution and operations of the RBC Reach program
  • You will support in the identification, analysis, and onboarding of startups into the cohort
  • You will support logistics and programming of the program, including calendar management, scheduling and delivery of programming
  • Manage and coordinate scheduling of mentors, investors and partners, stakeholders
  • Support cohort development with relevant RBC teams
  • Develop marketing collateral and communications working with appropriate teams to run our communications and digital channels, including website and social channels, email
  • Represent the RBC Reach brand internally, externally through networking and community events.

What do you need to succeed?


  • 2 or more years’ experience in an accelerator or incubator environment
  • Strong understanding of information technology concepts and practices
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and interest in working with seed and early stage companies/accelerators/startup community
  • Solid understanding of business and financial concepts
  • Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, highly organized, proactive and self-motivated.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication/presentation skills


  • Experience working in a start-up or early stage company
  • Experience working with large matrix organizations
  • Experience working in PR and communications/marketing, growing community presence.
