Job Description
Position Summary: Pacific Dimensions, Inc., an award-winning interior design firm, is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to market and sell its model home merchandising services to existing and prospective home builder clients.
This representative would be responsible to cultivate, manage and track sales in all active territories. The Business Development Representative will build a solid sales funnel to create and complete sales transactions within the company's target markets. Target markets cover Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Utah, Texas, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada.
This position reports directly to the Director of Business Development.
Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
A. Marketing Activities
- Manage and grow a sales funnel of 500 sales cycles
- Field prequalified prospects from telemarketing
- Solicit businesses within the target market
- Prequalify prospects
- Develop marketing events for lead generation and customer development
- Create new opportunities in a CRM (i.e. Zoho)
- Implement and achieve annual sales set by the Director of Business Development and Controller
- Prepare and submit proposal letters
- Participate in Industry events, conferences and trade shows such as BIA, PCBC, as needed
- Active participation in Industry Councils and Committees, as needed
- Attend minimum monthly sales meetings in PDI's El Segundo
B. Selling Activities
- Work by sales stages and milestones in the CRM
- Conversation to build a relationship
- Determine purchase strategy
- Ask qualifying questions
- Present the product
- Teach features and benefits
- Overcome objections
- Trial close the prospect
- Negotiate and close the transaction
- Integrate new customers with services
Major Challenges:
- Building loyal positive relationships with clients while growing a sales funnel.
- Securing 100% new clients yearly to meet quotas
- Working within sales management structure
- Working effectively within this role to gain the confidence and respect of team
- Remain highly-focused and highly-disciplined on the strategies and day-to-day activities required
Qualifications Required:
- Relationships within the new home building industry required
- Proven work experience as a sales representative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, able to work remotely and
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Highly motivated and target driven with proven track record in sales
- Excellent selling and negotiation skills
- BS/BA degree or equivalent
- Travel: 50%-70% (depending on location)
- Knowledge of the model home or interior design business required
- Not afraid to make cold calls
- Solid knowledge of how to sell
- Fervent desire to make lots of money
- Willingness to work hard

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
