Pacific Coast Advertising, (PCA)is a boutique full-service digital advertising and media agency specializing in the retail automotive sector in Southern California.
NOTE: Accepting & considering resumes from candidates that live locally in the LA area. Office is a minimum 15 to 25 minute drive from the 405 or 110 freeways.
Position Location: South Bay, Palos Verdes Estates, CA (Malaga Cove)
Salary: $13 to $15 to start
The Social Media Coordinatorwill utilize both creative and analytical skill sets in this fast-paced, project-based role. The ideal candidate has a 'can do' attitude, team spirit, is well organized, detail oriented, able to multitask and focus on managing client's advertising. The position will support our Digital Marketing Manager while also being exposed to all aspectsof the advertising agency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in marketing, advertising, public relations, business or communications.
- Knowledge of Social Media
- Strong Computer Skills
- Organized and Detail Orientated
- 2+ years experience at an ad agency or media company (preferred)
- Knowledge of Paid Social Advertising (preferred)
- Knowledge of Photoshop, In Design and Illustrator Programs (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple social media accounts for multiple clients on all social media platforms (Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube)
- Identifying new influencers and supporters, spotting trends, and establishing community culture and tone that aligns with each clients brand
- Brainstorm new creative ideas and conduct research as needed (including giveaways, promotions, announcements, and campaigns)
- Prepare reports (statistics,trends, reviewing, tagging, tracking) on all Social Media platforms
- Support the Digital Marketing Manager in developing and executing comprehensive digital, social and traditional advertising programs
- Professionally communicate with account managers, clients, vendors, media, graphic designers, production and digital staff
- Create, curate, and manage regular social content including written copy and some image creation with the editorial ability to quickly adjust content tone and voice in order to adapt to multiple brands and client channels
- Monitor and execute best practices for client's reputation sites (Yelp, Google, Facebook)
- Assist with Paid Social Campaigns
- General clerical office administrative tasks
- Work with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint on various projects
- Work with Photoshop, In-Design and Illustrator
- Photo and Video shoots
Knowledge and Skills:
- 1+ years in a social media, digital marketing or digital project management role with a proven ability to prioritize, juggle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrates strong knowledge and thorough understanding of digital landscape and social media platforms (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.)
- Works well under pressure and can meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of accountability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with initiative and able to anticipate needed steps
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking, adhere to all deadlines, manage multiple projects and content development simultaneously, and still bring energy and creativity to work each day
- Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere, as well as the ability to work independently and resourcefully in a productive, very small office environment
- Extremely well-organized and meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable with analytics and reporting for digital and social metrics
Software Proficiencies
- Required: Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Intermediate Skill Level Required: Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
