Communications Coordinator (1 Year Contract) At Ontario Teachers' Insurance Plan

Job Description

Communications Coordinator (1 Year Contract)

As a member of our Corporate Communications team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the execution of communication plans to support corporate projects and initiatives.

  • Reviewing communications and materials designed for mass distribution by proofreading and editing documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand and corporate standards and coordinating translation.

  • Developing communications collateral, which includes designing, writing and coordinating communications material such as articles, newsletters, reports, presentations, etc.

  • Assisting the communications team to write, post, and maintain content on the corporate website, as well as official social media sites.

  • Working collaboratively with the Social Media and Online Community Engagement Specialist and internal departments to efficiently and effectively respond to online customer service inquiries and coordinate social media content.

  • Coordinating the purchase of printed material, scheduling and controlling inventories, as required.


If this opportunity sounds interesting, and you meet the following requirements, you might be the person we’re looking for. We need someone who has:

  • A university degree or college diploma in Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related subject.

  • One to three years’ experience in a communications-related role.

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, including proficiency in the use of the Canadian Press style guide.

  • Proficiency

  • Prior experience with social media monitoring tools/dashboards.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Content Management Systems and advanced Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
