At Motorola Solutions we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer. What will you be doing?

Avigilon’s analytic based, video surveillance software interfaces to a variety of external systems, including mobile, web, cloud, and 3rd party systems. This person will create a robust, secure, and performant interface for others to use. This interface will stream a variety of video, events, and analytic data.

  • As part of a scrum team, you will design and deliver software features for our security monitoring solutions.
  • Researching and developing new features for our state-of-the-art video surveillance systems.
  • Working on technologies that save lives, secure property, and make the world a safer place.
  • Working with helpful people who care about you, your career, and the quality of the product.
  • Learning, growing, and contributing as part of an autonomous team.

We want you to succeed, so you’ll need:

  • A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
  • At least 3 years of industry experience.
  • Experience with JavaScript ES6 in a Node.js environment.
  • Knowledge of IP networking security, applications and concepts.
  • Experience with C++ is also an asset.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and contribute.

When you join us, the technologies and processes you’ll be working with include:

  • Must have: JavaScript ES6 and Node.js
  • Google Protobuf, WebRTC, STUN, and TURN
  • Test Driven Development
  • Digital video and audio encoding in various formats like H264, H265, and MP4
  • Agile Scrum
