Account Manager, Education Sales At Merrithew(tm)

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Job Description

In the role of Account Manager for Education Sales, you will be responsible for generating revenue of Merrithew™ branded programming services and education products through Host Training Centers. With the support of the Hosting Coordinators, provide superior customer service and flawless execution in the co-ordination and administration of the education programs offered at Host Training Centers.

Major responsibilities

  • Maximizing sales results by strategy formulation, business analysis, planning, marketing and execution required to grow Merrithew branded programming education revenues through Host Training Centers.

Strategy Formulation

  • Analysis of current competitive market and the identification of sales opportunities for Host Training Centers.
  • Develop business building strategies for increasing training center activity
  • Analyze current programs and workshops offered at Host Training Centers and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Business Planning, Marketing & Sales

  • Meet Education Sales annual revenue and contribution goals for hosting, with increased responsibility for overseeing the schedule and flow of courses and workshops offered in markets not serviced by Licensed Training Centers within the assigned territories.
  • Assist in the planning of yearly budget/revenue goals for assigned territory/accounts.
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies to reach our target audiences within the assigned territories.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills and qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales.
  • Experience interacting with customers in a sales environment that involves global territory growth, trade show interaction, demand creation and/or account management.
  • Adept at up-selling and cross-selling to increase overall sales and profitability.
  • Cross department collaboration.
  • A highly driven, self-motivated personality who shows perseverance and can overcome objections to achieve sales targets in a results-oriented environment.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, additional languages an asset.
  • Ability to travel to site locations and/or trade shows throughout assigned territories as needed. (2-5 trips per year, between 1-2 weeks).
  • Able to construct and deliver business proposals and presentations.
  • Experience or knowledge of Merrithew Education services and products an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office, Power Point, Excel.
