Position Overview:

As a key member of a small and productive team, the Web developer is responsible for building high impact, responsive websites, email templates and applications.

The ideal candidate will possess experience with design theory, both within traditional web platforms and mobile and must be up to date with current trends in design and development technology.

This candidate will work closely with internal and external customers both with and without technical expertise.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Familiarity with Adobe CS considered an asset
• Proficiency with version control theory and Subversion is preferred
• Ability to deliver compelling user experiences across multiple devices
• Utilize responsive design, to create a well-planned site to deliver an optimized experience in context to each device or screen size
• Ability to identify and translate client needs and provide creative feedback and recommendations
• Design sample pages, layouts, email campaign, and widgets
• Knowledge of Google Analytics / Tag Manager preferred
• Strong communication skills. Able to explain complex technical concepts to designers and clients

Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and maintain landing pages, widgets and custom email campaigns
• Provide and adhere to budget estimates and timelines
• Maintaining and enhancing websites by adding and improving design and interactive features
• Research and stay current on design and web trends
• Provide input and recommendations to improve end-user web experience
• Assist with client website template deployment

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires 1-3 years experience or equivalent education. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work in a goal-driven environment, provide excellent customer service, work as a collaborative team member as well as independently. Must be eager and comfortable with learning new software programs, be a team player and participate in ongoing training. Must possess strong written and verbal communication as well as the ability to identify client needs.
