Job Description
Macnaughton & Ward Financial Services Ltd. (MWFS) provides consumers and policyholders with insurance,
investments and financial solutions. The company was established in 1975 and continues to thrive in the
community.
We have an immediate opening for a Financial Sales Assistant to administratively assist MWFS in the sale and
service of life insurance and living benefits, segregated funds, and GIC deposit products.
Key Accountabilities:
- Schedule client meetings for MWFS President and MWFS Advisors;
- For advisors and the President, you will initiate and prepare/pre-fill all required product and compliance
client documents before and after client meetings including client information and product selection
forms to ready them for submission;
- Implement a client sales process to connect MWFS clients with MWFS Advisors;
- Handle inforce service and distribute to MWFS advisor when necessary. Prepare product illustrations;
- Design, implement and maintain advisor toolkit (library) so electronic and paper application documents
are easily retrieved for use by MWFS advisors;
- Maintain schedule of President's meeting arrangements;
- Provide MWFS Client reception duties;
- Utilize marketing tools and resources to generate service client documents;
- Deliver excellent client service to existing policyholders and prospective customers alike;
- Respond to inquiries from Customers and maintain control of each inquiry until assigned to MWFS
advisor; escalate necessary calls to advisors;
- Tax duties: administer tax return packages utilizing tax software while following processes and tracking
all tax returns turnaround time;
- Maintain and track up-to-date client and account records of communications using established
procedures in VirtGate, Maximizer and other systems and software;
- Maintain good client relations, in person, over the telephone and in writing/email;
- Maintaining up-to-date records of communications using established procedures;
- Observe and implement established company policies and procedures;
- Uphold company's privacy policy and advisors' client policies and procedures.
Required Skills / Competencies / Attributes:
- Seasoned administrator to be quick, thorough, accurate, process minded, communicative, and clients
marketing oriented;
- Personable, friendly, calm, diplomatic, cooperative demeanor with excellent customer service skills;
- Skilled database input;
- Excellent communication skills and strong command of English, both written and verbal.;
Specific Qualifications required for this position:
- Excellent knowledge of life insurance and segregated products for multiple insurance companies; ability
to take initiative and find and share answers;
- Post-secondary education;
- Asset not mandatory to have Life License, IFIC and/or CSC; and
- Team Player who works cooperatively with the Sales and Marketing teams and other areas to meet our
customers' needs;
- 2 years relevant administrative experience in Financial Service industry with experience receiving
Insurance and Investment customers.
Education:
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Business Administration Certificate or proven equivalent work experience
required;
- Life Office Management Association (LOMA) an asset; and * Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) an
asset.
