International Marketing Assistant At Macmillan Publishers

Location: New York, New York

Job Description

Macmillan Publishers is seeking an International Marketing Assistant to work within the International Sales & Marketing team based in their New York, NY office.

This individual will work closely with various groups (marketing, sales, editorial, art, IT) across the company to coordinate the development and implementation of all international marketing efforts. This person will report to the Vice President of International Sales & Marketing.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support the Vice President, International Sales & Marketing in all areas of marketing and social media engagement.
  • Assist in planning and execution of marketing for titles, series, and authors.
  • Maintain and update order forms and presentations for the International Sales team.
  • Prepare materials for sales including but not limited to: seasonal sales meetings, international book fairs, consumer marketing for accounts.
  • Plus any other responsibilities deemed necessary by the Vice President, International Sales & Marketing.

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Must have an enthusiasm and a drive for finding new ways of building on marketing by territory.
  • Ability to multi-task with accuracy while working in a fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in creative projects.
  • Ability to build relationships across multiple groups and communicate effectively with both peers and upper management, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong work-ethic.
  • Comfortable with learning new technologies
  • Familiarity with social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • MS Office (including efficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel) InDesign, Publisher, Photoshop or image editing/formatting program, Dreamweaver or Basic HTML a plus.

Experience Needed:

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
