Senior Manager, Campus Recruitment & Social Media At Mackenzie Investments

The Role
The IGM Human Resources Department is accepting applications for the position of Senior Manager, Campus & Social Media. Reporting to the AVP, Talent Acquisition & Strategy, this role will play a critical role in the development of a Campus strategy for the IGM Group of Companies (Mackenzie Investments, IG Wealth Management & Investment Planning Counsel) as well as partnering to develop and implement strong and compelling Talent brands under the IGM banner; that all companies as Employers of Choice. The ideal candidate is creative, driven, highly organized, an outstanding communicator with the ability to multitask and adapt as priorities shift in a fast-paced environment.
As an innovative and creative leader, you will oversee the IGM Group of Companies’ social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogging sites etc. to attract prospective talent. As the Campus lead, this role will organize job fairs, negotiate with vendors, develop advertising and marketing campaigns, assist with the design of materials like posters and brochures, conduct research and attend professional conferences.
Responsibilities include:

Campus Strategy & Recruitment
  • Lead the development and execution of the IGM Group of Companies’ campus recruitment strategies, processes and policies with input from Leaders, Talent Advisors & HR Business Partners, and Campus Ambassadors
  • Lead the planning and execution of the IGM Group of Companies’ events and activities at assigned universities (e.g. career fairs, on-campus interviews, information sessions, etc.)
  • Oversee the execution of the annual key school recruitment plans, including the development of new initiatives targeted at increasing brand awareness and early sourcing of top talent
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders at strategic universities (e.g. career services offices, faculty, relevant student organizations, etc.)
  • Work with Business Leaders to develop innovative approaches to position the IGM Group of Companies and its’ divisions in the marketplace to attract the highest quality talent
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on campus recruitment results against hiring targets and student feedback
  • Assess industry and market trends, reviews studies and communicate with subject matter experts to stay abreast of best in class campus talent acquisition strategies
  • Consistently identify areas of process improvement, and make ongoing recommendations
  • Support in driving the IGM Group of Companies Diversity & Inclusion strategy

Social Media & Talent Brand
  • Enhance and maintain the IGM Group of Companies’ presence on different employment sites while developing creative ways to attract prospective candidates to opportunities
  • Develops and manages all talent acquisition campaigns using a variety of social media platforms
  • Manages the relationships and contracts with social media vendors
  • Alongside HR Corporate Communications team & marketing, define the IGM Group of Companies’ Talent Brand strategy to attract top talent, considering local specificity of each of our work locations as well as divisional specificities
  • Elevating the IGM Group of Companies’ talent brand by improving visibility and engagement on social, web and offline channels via working alongside HR Corporate Communications & Marketing to create written, audio and video content, and collaborate to talks, presentations, activities, promoting our workplace, core values, employees and overall employer image
  • Tracking of KPIs and all relevant metrics and bring forth appropriate adjustments
  • Partnering with marketing in planning and organizing networking and professional events (e.g.; Hackathons) to expand our network, visibility in the talent market
  • Making recommendations to the HR Leadership team on ways to improve candidate attraction (benefits, perks, compensation strategy, etc.) and bring forth suggestions and improvements to all facets regarding Talent Branding
We encourage you to apply if you have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, marketing or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition & Campus, e-marketing or social media promotions
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments with effective resolution of conflicting priorities
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities are required with extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong proficiency leveraging social media for candidate engagement
  • Strong project management skills and Microsoft Office mastery are essential
  • Experience managing website content and working with Google analytics
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Familiarity with Success Factors is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (French) is an asset
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
