Festival Marketing Intern - Winter Term At Live Nation

Summary:
This is a paid intern position at Live Nation - Canada's largest concert promoter. This position would assist in all aspects of the marketing of festivals including; advertising, promotions and public relations. This is full-time for the Winter term (January – April 2019).


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with many different administrative duties on a daily basis, including media clippings, printing flyers and posters, filing, couriering packages, data entry, analytics, research, and scheduling social media content
  • Assist with the execution of the marketing plans including street marketing, budget management and accountability
  • Reporting on fan and follower growth on Social Media communities
  • Assisting with promotion execution on Twitter and Facebook
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Media
  • Create, negotiate and execute promotion initiatives with media and sponsors
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as requested

Skills & Qualities Desired:

  • Must have an avid interest in music, be knowledgeable about artists and genres, and have an overall interest in learning about the music industry
  • Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking
  • An understanding of Advertising and Promotional principles
  • Proven ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships
  • Ability to take direction while also displaying strong personal initiative
  • A creative thinker and self-starter
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as required
  • A positive, winning attitude, incorporating integrity, confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to work well within a team environment

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks regularly throughout the day; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
