The New York office is seeking a dynamic, personable event professional for a coordinator position supporting the Client Engagement group of the Business Development department. The position will report to the Client Engagement Manager and must work effectively as part of a growing Client Engagement team.
The candidate will be primarily responsible for coordinating various external client event initiatives: seminars, retreats, sponsorships and social events both taking place in, and generated from, the NY office. The candidate will help ensure that Kirkland client events are consistent with the Firm’s taste and service levels.
The position will interact with attorneys and administrative staff across practice areas and all of the Firm’s offices. Our international business development team provides seamless service to our attorneys with a focus on quality, innovation and responsiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate must be an effective verbal and written communicator and creative thinker. S/he will possess excellent organizational and project management skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment, a strong attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
You should have a service-oriented demeanor, with a polished presence. The candidate will be proficient with technology applications including Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel. Familiarity with Kirkland’s legal disciplines (e.g., transactional, litigation, IP, restructuring) and/or experience in the legal/professional services would be helpful.
A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience is required. Law firm and/or event services experience is strongly preferred. Flexible for overtime is a must.
