IELTS Administrative Assistant At Kaplan

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

The IELTS Administrator Assistant will help to ensure that all steps involving the test are met and will be responsible for a combination of some or all of the following:


  • Assist candidates with registration and other services related to the test such as sending results to higher education institutions

  • Be familiar with the policies and procedures related to IELTS test administration as set out in the Administrator’s Manual

  • Maintain strict standards of document security and official procedures

  • Secure handling of candidates’ confidential information

  • Planning and coordinating test day (allocate staff needed to ensure the highest standard of customer service, security, providing accurate counts of materials and appropriate space to accommodate candidates and staff, and schedule staff to ensure the timely completion of the duties)

  • Planning and executing staff training to ensure the best quality of customer service and compliance

  • Financial management: record payments, produce & send receipts, produce and maintain staff payment records, etc.

  • Maintain records and compile reports concerning the test in accordance to the policies of the British Council IELTS

  • Maintain and develop positive customer relations: front desk, phone, email, test day registration.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 1-2+ years in a business or operational setting
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong English skills (Advanced, IELTS 6.5 or higher)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with international students
  • Experience with database systems
