Jeffrey Debs Jeweler Gemologist is a 3rd generation Philadelphia Fine Jeweler located in Center City at 128 South 8th Street Jewelers Row. We specialize in diamond engagement rings featuring both earth-mined and laboratory-grown diamonds, colored gemstones and custom jewelry design/manufacture. Being a full-service jeweler, we deal in repairs, watches and all categories of fine jewelry and jewelry appraisals.

We're interested in hiring a unique and dedicated high-energy individual to join our sales team, one who loves working with people and views this position as a career, not just another job. You will need to possess the ability to skillfully present the 4-C's of diamonds and offering merchandise with detailed information, engaging customers through pointed conversation to best understand their preferences and objectives.
You will be self-motivated, dynamic, driven, and honest at your core, possessing strong customer communication skills with the passion to provide a superior and memorable customer experience. You must have the eagerness to succeed in a unique and ever-changing industry with the focus on customer satisfaction being your #1 objective and to cultivate relationships with new and existing clients in an engaged and personalized manner. This full-time position is a five-day work week (Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 - 5:30) including every Saturday (mandatory) and extended hours Wednesdays till 7:00*. Hours subject to change.
We require a minimum 3 years' experience selling fine jewelry (Precious metals, natural gemstones and diamonds, etc..) with particular focus on bridal jewelry which includes diamond engagement rings and wedding rings. You will be required to have a general working knowledge of computers primarily with email, Microsoft Word and internet search/website navigation. We're sorry, but we will not reply to applicants that have never worked in a fine jewelry store as defined above. If you have prior fine jewelry sales experience, please provide details of that including the types of fine jewelry products that you feel most competant and confidant in selling.
Your key responsibilities to include:
Providing our customers with a very welcoming, friendly and positive experience during their visit. You will need to be able to blend excellent listening and communication skills while servicing the customer's needs promptly and thoroughly from assisting with making a purchase to the process of repair take-in.
You will be required to stage and track your customer's orders with local and long-distance designers and crafts people/manufacturers from beginning to end and will occasionally be asked to assist with drop-off and pick-up of work within a 1-2 block area of our store.
Aid in morning set-up and evening break-down of inventory, ongoing inventory of your assigned area and merchandising and orderliness of jewelry and sharing with others the ongoing cleanliness and restocking of the showroom and work areas.
We will provide on the job training to assist with your responsibilities, product and our systems training.
