Senior Accountant At JE Dunn

Location: Austin, Texas

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

ACCOUNTANT FAMILY - CORE

  • Executes system data, including entry, batches, daily cash, notifying project teams of accounts receivable collection, billing, job cost transactions, employee reimbursement and fixed assets.
  • Prepares, examines and analyzes accounting records, financial statements and financial reports. Assesses accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Establishes tables of accounts and assigns entries to proper accounts.
  • Helps develop, implement, modify and document record-keeping and accounting systems.
  • Assists operations with interpreting financial key performance indicators.
  • Participates in periodic finance group meetings.
  • Manages difficult or emotional customer situations promptly and efficiently.
  • Meets client commitments; recognizes and acts upon service opportunities.
  • Solicits and applies feedback to improve quality and service.
  • Works with all internal departments to help resolve financial matters.

  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner

  • Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on strong Excel skills
  • Proficiency with ERP and payment workflow system

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (Required)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 5+ years accounting experience (Required)
  • 2+ years construction industry experience (Preferred)
  • 2+ years public accounting experience (Preferred)
