Marketing Director At JDA TSG

Job Description

JDA TSG has an immediate opportunity for a Marketing Director to join our team working in our Midtown offices. We are seeking out an experienced Marketing person to take the reins & conceptualize, implement & manage a comprehensive marketing strategy for our company from the ground up, & be the POC with our agency. This role requires a strong foundation with marketing/social media as well as managing personnel. The ideal candidate will be comfortable driving the creation of appropriate content / messaging & coordinating the creative direction / tactics with our agency. You'll be reporting to the CEO & working side by side with the leadership team.

The Marketing Director will be responsible for building out, then managing our marketing initiatives, so be prepared to articulate how you’d drive that process. As an entrepreneurial company we’d like to hear from candidates comfortably confident in taking ownership of their accountabilities & driving processes to completion. You’ll be encouraged & empowered to use your grey matter in this hands-on role! We need someone experienced in managing an outside agency relationship as well as being a builder; you will conceptualize & implementing a comprehensive strategy for our growing Managed Services business. You will enhance our market presence by identifying & joining associations,
memberships, certifications & recognition programs, driving stakeholder participation in trade/industry events & writing engaging content for digital channels. Additionally, you will create internal communications such as a newsletter & assist in competitor research. Core Accountabilities - Digital Marketing:

  • Drive our marketing efforts working closely with leadership & our agency to expand our brand for both B2B & Recruiting endeavors
  • Identify & join appropriate associations & pursue accreditations
  • Identify appropriate certifications, awards & recognition programs
  • Raise awareness of our JDA Cares Program a “locally focused” philanthropy initiative
  • Manage our agency relationships to develop & execute appropriate digital marketing strategies
  • Develop, implement, track & optimize campaigns across multiple channels
  • Measure & report ROI & KPIs of campaigns
  • Work with Leadership team & agency to bring marketing strategy & content to life
Core Accountabilities - Content Marketing:

  • Create & execute an effective content marketing strategy
  • Create, edit & or source content for website, blogs, webinars, white-papers & social media
  • Work with agency to deploy & test campaigns for PPC, Paid Social & SEO channels
  • Manage social media properties
  • Develop email marketing content including newsletters & drip campaigns
  • Present concepts, campaign updates, & results to JDA TSG leadership & agency with recommendations to improve performance

Required Experience & Skillsets:

  • 7+ years’ experience in a related role - Brand Storytelling, B2B Marketing Communications experience with at least 1 year in a growth-oriented business specific to B2B audiences
  • Managing agency relationships to maximize effectiveness & cost efficiencies
  • Exceptional writing skills; write copy for promotional materials & other collateral (samples required)
  • Keen understanding of digital marketing & B2B customer acquisition strategies
  • Ability to express thoughts clearly, both orally & in writing in a deadline driven environment
  • Experience responding on social media on behalf of a corporate brand (B2B services preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills & data driven decision making
  • Experience with campaigns including SEO/SEM, email, Adwords, social media & display advertising
  • BA degree in Marketing, Communications or Digital Marketing
