RBI League Convenors (2 positions)
Jays Care Foundation knows that, when used intentionally, baseball has the power to create lasting social change for children and youth. That's why we help kids get involved in the game, build safe spaces in which they can play and design and deliver baseball for development programs that help kids develop the life skills they need to succeed. Jays Care Foundation is seeking two League Convenors to support the planning and implementation of Jays Care’s Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities (RBI) program.
Reviving Baseball In Inner-Cities (RBI) is a structured baseball league that takes place in 40 inner-city schools across Toronto. The RBI Program is designed to use baseball as a vehicle for kids to build their confidence, represent their community and learn the values of being a true team player. Teams participate in weekly games and practices followed by a championship tournament. Candidates should be energetic and passionate with extensive experience working in sport and/or recreation program in a leadership role.
Contract Duration: February 2020 – June 2020

Hours Per Week:
NOTE: most work hours fall between 10 am and 5pm, however this role involves occasional evening work. All work hours are between Monday and Friday.
Reporting to: Senior Program Coordinator, RBI and Indigenous Initiatives
