to join our Oakville
Position open to post-secondary students who are interested in gaining experience within the mechanical design engineering industry and who will be returning to school. An engineering co-op student filling this position must be a fast learner with a lot of energy. S/he will be able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision. S/he must be an innate problem solver and a resourceful individual.
Provide SolidWorks product support, including creating product content to targeted industries.
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- Good knowledge of MCAD software
Strong verbal and written communication skills
CAD and/or solid modeling experience, with an engineering focus
Experience or interest making and editing videos is an asset
Knowledge of video editing programs (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie, Windows Movie Maker)
Able to function in a team atmosphere
Excellent organizational / time management skills
- SolidWorks experience
Solid Modeling experience with other products an asset (ACAD, Pro/E, Inventor, SolidEdge)
Well versed in Microsoft Windows (Window 7 experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office products
Any experience with making and editing video a plus (Adobe Creative Suite an asset)
- Learning about design engineering and manufacturing processes.
Understand Solid Modeling processes and engineering terminology
Design project experience is an asset
