We deliver innovative solutions to our customers in the retail, aviation and commercial office industries. This position works with a team of intermediate and experienced accounting staff professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on posting financial transactions, analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts. This position reports to the CFO.
Manage the Monthly Close - Supervise the closing process to ensure the books are closed timely and accurately. This includes coordinating the receipt of required information from outside the finance department and all consolidated entities.
Review Journal Entries - Post journal entries to the general ledger by reviewing for proper coding, completeness and accuracy prior to posting.
Written Monthly Analysis - Coordinate the timely completion of the actual versus budget analysis of financial statements at month-end and quarter-end.
Ensure Accounting Records are Accurate - Review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure that accounting records are accurate and properly maintained.
Manage the Audit Functions - Manage the timing, the document requirements and the testing requirements with the internal and external audit teams. Ensure that an unqualified opinion is expressed by the external auditors and there are no material weaknesses of internal controls.
Establish and Maintain Disclosure Controls and Procedures - Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are designed, documented and complied with. Prevent significant deficiencies and material weaknesses in the design or operation of internal controls.
Manage the Accounting Team - Responsible for maintaining company standards, communicating and enforcing policies and procedures. Provide guidance and the tools to the accounting team allowing them to complete their jobs.
Completion of weekly cash flow and labor reports for review with the executive team.
Light travel may be required.
Provides reports to functional or operational management on financial analysis results and recommendations
Oversees preparation of analysis on budgets, forecasts, inventory, and or sales margins.
Provides interpretation of financial data via spreadsheets, charts, and reports.
Audits financial practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, laws and standards.
Leads small-scale projects, providing ad hoc analysis.

Individual with accounting degree and minimum 5 years' experience.
Experience must include management experience, analytical skills and prior work with account reconciliations and journal entries.
Good verbal and written communication skills and people skills are required.
Proficient with PC software packages such as Excel and Word.
Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment.
