Position Summary

The Marketing Data Analyst is a key contributor in collecting and interpreting data across sources to provide reporting, insights and recommendations to drive efficiency and effectiveness across marketing efforts. This role will partner with marketing stakeholders, as well as other agency partners and business segment members, to manage and analyze lead data, interpret website analytics and trends, design and share marketing reports, and provide optimization insights and recommendations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analysis

  • Collaborate as part of a team to drive analyses and insights that lead to more informed decisions and improved business performance.
  • Perform weekly and monthly analyses of KPIs for marketing (MQLs) and sales (SQLs) leads.
  • Assist in determining return on investment and optimize campaigns to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Effectively present and communicate analysis at all levels to guide understanding and efficient, high-quality decisions.
  • Respond to ad hoc data and analytics requests.

Reporting

  • Hands-on oversight and management of reporting within key digital tools: Google Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce.com, etc.
  • Develop standardized reporting and dashboards to identify trends and provide ongoing, actionable insights to marketing, business and agency stakeholders.
  • Monitor, optimize, and report on marketing and growth metrics and A/B test results. Make recommendations based on analytics and test findings.
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders, business leaders and agency partners to collaborate and communicate results.
  • Maintain a culture of high-quality output, learnings, and exceptional customer service. Ensure that work gets done well and on time, respond effectively to changing priorities, and reallocate resources as necessary

Future-Forward Planning

  • Run exploratory analysis to uncover new areas of opportunity, generate hypotheses, and quickly assess the potential upside of a given opportunity.
  • Uncover emerging trends via website analytics, social listening, and other means to drive actionable insights


Required Skills

  • Proven data interpretation skills; Ability to tell a story with data and drive data literacy
  • Certification and high-level of hands-on experience in Google Analytics
  • Experience with reporting and analyzing data within marketing automation and CRM platforms strongly preferred (Marketo, Salesforce.com, Pardot, Tableau, etc.).
  • Proficient in Excel; Experienced in creating polished, repeatable and actionable dashboards and reports
  • Familiarity with DMP platforms and Business Intelligence Tools preferred
  • Ability to convey complex information simply and clearly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Driven, self-motivated attitude. Ability to do great work independently with minimal direction as well as collaborate closely with teams.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and ability to leverage skills of other team members across departments to get to a solution.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, or business-related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing data analytics role
  • Specific work experience in managing and analyzing lead generation data, reporting on marketing campaign performance, administrative support operations, and written and visual communications are highly desirable
