E-Commerce Marketing Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The E-Commerce Marketing Manager is responsible for driving and executing best in class digital marketing and eCommerce initiatives with key Retail and Pro Channel accounts, positioning James Hardie for competitive advantage. This role is a key contributor to digital strategy development, customer experience, and execution that accelerates business growth for the company and key customer accounts.


As a member of the marketing team, the E-Commerce Marketing Manager will partner cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders to drive results, including the retail and shopper marketing teams, sales, products, master data, and digital marketing counterparts within key customer accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Digital Marketing
    • Develop, execute, and optimize digital marketing across key Retail and Pro e-commerce channels to ensure delivery of defined company goals.
    • Sets targets and benchmarks to develop, implement, and measure the effectiveness of the company’s content marketing, email automation, and social media strategies and tactics, specific to retail and pro channels.
    • Partner with internal retail and shopper marketing teams, along with key retailer and pro customer accounts, to design, execute, and measure aligned e-commerce promotions in line with broader retail marketing strategy.
    • Builds and disseminates learnings to key stakeholders and develops subsequent action plans based on learnings.
    • Manage day-to-day e-commerce budget and develop the business case to secure incremental investments based on program performance.
  • Brand Management:
    • Ensure the James Hardie brand is positioned within retail and pro customer websites according to company brand guidelines and best practices.
    • Identify opportunities for improved brand positioning, including ‘pay for play’ opportunities.
    • Monitor and engage in customer-owned web-based communication channels, such as Q&A and Product Reviews, to drive a positive customer experience and increased affinity for the James Hardie brand.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in leading and executing a digital marketing and e-commerce strategy.
  • Experience working in a digital marketing or e-commerce role focused on Home Depot and/or Lowe’s strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable in front of all levels of the organization, as well as external customers.
  • Evidence of working in a cross-functional team and leading through influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently in a high-impact position.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand voice of customer, voice of business, personal accountability, and an unyielding commitment to results.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across disciplines and integrate all aspects of business as they impact development projects, including negotiation of scope, roles and responsibilities, specifications, timelines, and resources up, across, and down in the organization.
