Position Summary

The Digital Specialist is a key contributor in ensuring digital marketing initiatives are successfully completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded, tech-savvy digital marketer with experience across a breadth of areas, including website launches, administration and management, digital advertising tactics, content marketing, email marketing, etc.


This role will partner with marketing stakeholders, as well as other agency partners and business segment members, to manage a wide variety of key digital projects to completion.


The Digital Specialist will be based out of James Hardie’s Chicago office (231 S. La Salle St.), and will report to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

PAID:

  • Support the development of landing pages and A/B testing plans
  • Assist with reporting and measurement


EARNED:

  • Support the content creation process, including coordination with outside partners, internal review process, publication, etc.
  • Provide digital marketing support to business partners and customers
  • Assist with social listening and monitoring


OWNED:

  • Manage end-to-end digital marketing projects, including requirements gathering, timeline management, Q/A and testing, and post-launch support
  • Assist in ongoing website maintenance and manage our digital agency in new website development efforts
  • Oversee development of email nurture campaign creative and setup
  • Identify and ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed goals
  • Communicate key project stages, schedules, metrics and requirements to internal and external stakeholders


Required Skills

  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Experienced managing multiple stakeholders, including business leaders, agency partners and legal teams
  • Experience with KPI setting, measurement and driving campaign optimizations
  • Familiar with agency management
  • Hands-on experience across a variety of digital marketing areas, including website administration and development, digital content marketing, email marketing, etc.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to convey complex information simply and clearly
  • Proficient in project management platforms (experience with Workfront, SmartSheet and Sharepoint a plus)
  • Experienced working within content management systems (CMS)
  • Familiarity with analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, a plus
  • Must be comfortable managing multiple projects and requests at once in a fast-paced environment

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a business-related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a digital specialist, project manager or account manager role.
