We currently have a great opportunity for a business development representative who will work with a major trade publication. This position is in our Chicago office.
Your primary responsibilities:
Solicit new clients and potential new revenue sources through self-generated leads, inbound leads, LinkedIn Navigator;
Outreach to new business prospects via email, phone, LinkedIn to help qualify level of opportunity;
Collaborate with sales team in development and implementation of marketing campaigns;
Audit competitive publications / websites for new business opportunities and evaluate the service offerings of other companies;
Engage in direct sales business activities to expand the existing client base and revenue sources;
Assist with organization of customers and prospects to meet and solicit at key trade shows;
Update the CRM system and identify solid business opportunities;
Participate in contract bids and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as needed.

College degree preferred
1-3 years media sales experience
