Marketing Coordinator At Jakks Pacific Inc.

Location: Santa Monica, California

Job Description

JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading manufacturer of toys and consumer products, featuring some of the most popular brands and toy licenses, seeks an energetic, self-starter for the role of Marketing Coordinator for their Girls & Preschool Division in their Santa Monica office.

The Girls & Preschool Division manages a combination of licensed product and own-IP brands. The right candidate will support the Girls & Preschool division to create and build brands. This individual will support the Sr. Manager/Sr. Director in the product development process and executing marketing programs. This individual will be highly detail-oriented, have a sense of urgency, be eager to learn, flexible, and willing to roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done.

This role will interact with many other internal departments including design, packaging/creative services, public relations, digital media, operations, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the department with the product development process, positioning, strategy and execution of product lines
  • Manage the internal product development database ensuring accuracy and completion
  • Updating product sales tools including price list, brand decks and product presentations on a regular basis
  • Conduct trend research and store checks to maintain competitiveness with other toy brands
  • Participate in brainstorms and bring creativity to the role
  • Be comfortable presenting product lines to internal and external partners
  • Work with cross-functional teams effectively
  • Assist Sr. Manager in the day to day marketing responsibilities on several product lines, including:
  • Writing product copy for packaging, presentations and website
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations for internal sales purposes, retail meetings and licensor meetings
  • Compiling and analyzing sales data
  • Coordinate product and packaging samples for important meetings & Toy Fairs
  • Toy Fair and meeting preparation

  • Bachelor’s degree required with at least 1 year of work experience
