Job Responsibilities:
- Institutional business development and client management in the western USA with experience in financial services.
- Market IG products & services to financial institutions, hedge funds, high-value clients & other partners
- Manage and grow relationships with selected partners and institutions
- Responsible for the opening of high-value accounts on the west coast
- Work with departments within IG, (trading services, compliance, IT, credit, account opening) to ensure the smooth running and commercial viability of relationships
- To support other members of the US team
- Follow up on sales leads and interest that comes from the IG website and sales lines in financial services.
- Ensure that the best possible result is achieved for customers' orders
- Ensure that high-value clients are contacted regularly and managed effectively.
- Proactive attitude to growing the premium client base through existing client's networks via referral. This can be premium retail traders, corporate or Institutional business
- Building personal and IG brand through TV and print media exposure
- Provide regular trade and market analysis to clients
- Adhere to a Scorecards/KPI framework set up the head of team aim to optimize role efficient and offer support
Relationship Management:
- Building strong relationships across various internal business units to maximize delivery and service to 'Premium' clients
- Build strong client relationships through best service practices
Hospitality:
- Proactively and frequently entertaining clients (and prospects) at various events, which will include "out-of-hours" commitment on evenings and weekends, as part of your relationship management expectations.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years' sales experience within financial services, preferably derivatives, futures and FX
- Contacts within the trading world and HNWs
- A good understanding of API's & how they work
- A very good understanding of derivatives & financial markets
- Highly numerate and works well under pressure
- Has the right to work in USA
Desirable
- Good degree in a numerate subject
- Series 3, 34 (Commodity trading and foreign trading)
Skills
- Sales focused in terms of growing client base
- Ability to manage and develop complex relationships in a short amount of time
- Strong communicator - both in writing and in person
- Excellent interpersonal skills (face-to-face and telephone)
- Self-motivated and sales driven
- Very well organised with good time management skills
- Works well as a member of a team
