Desktop Support Analyst

Non-Permanent

Department: Corporate Systems Support

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Provide end user technical assistance in a courteous and responsive manner ensuring maximum productivity.
  • Implementation and support of enterprise VDI’s
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktop hardware and software, audio/video systems, collaboration tools, and network connectivity
  • Solicit post resolution feedback to ensure end-user satisfaction and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
  • Installations, upgrades and imaging of laptops and desktops
  • Software installations, updates and patch deployments
  • Provide end-user training
  • Document processes and update documentation as required
  • Ensure asset management records are maintained
  • Lead and participate in the controls surrounding end-user onboarding and terminations
  • Assist with delivering the end user technology within the scope of corporate initiatives
  • Ensures that all audit and Information Security processes and policies are adhered to


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Degree/diploma program in computer technology
  • 2 to 5 years supporting end user technologies in a corporate environment: Windows 7/10, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Outlook, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, VPN, Cisco Telephony, Wireless networking, Collaboration tools( Cisco Jabber, WebEx/Teams)
  • Strong working knowledge desktop imaging and software packaging
  • Manage and support mobile devices (iOS, Android, Blackberry)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and customer-service oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and control workload
  • Ability to learn new technologies and introduce them to the environment
  • Demonstrated ability to take direction and communicate effectively with team members
  • Portrays confidence and a positive attitude at all times.
Other Useful Knowledge and Experience and Certifications:
  • Experience with desktop management systems (LANDesk, SCCM)
  • Experience in deployment and support of Citrix virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI): XenDesktop, XenApp
  • Preferred certifications (Microsoft MSP, A+, ITIL)

Work Schedule:
· Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours between 8am and 6pm. Ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends as required)
