Summary of position:

The Information Technology Product Specialist is a business area subject matter expert responsible for maintaining, administering and supporting business applications at IES Abroad. The Information Technology Product Specialist is responsible for managing projects, products, and processes.

Job responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots and resolves product support tickets reported by end users
• Seeks to understand current business systems structure and processes, recommends possible changes, develops detailed plans for recommendation, and supports implementation of changes
• Writes requirements documents for business systems that advance strategic goals
• Defines success metrics for both existing and future business systems products
• Reports on product performance, workflow, and issue tracking on weekly basis highlighting accomplishments and articulating big picture roadblocks
• Writes training materials, online support materials, and answers product-related questions from our developer base
• Facilitates user acceptance and stress tests, documents system deficiencies, leads root cause analysis, and seeks documented business approval on all using workflow tracking product
• Any other task or duty as assigned, including assuming following roles, based on task assignment and/or workflow task completion:
• Project Manager
• Business Analyst
• Business Systems Administrator
• Helpdesk
• Quality Assurance
• Vendor Relationship Liaison

Experience & Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience administering and supporting business systems applications and Campus Management Product Suite
• Track record of successfully planning, deploying, administering, supporting and facilitating new product launches
• Excellent technical and business writing skills, as well as excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
• Solid IT business acumen
• Ability to work with minimal direction
• Ability to provide comprehensive project and task performance status reports and project performance artifacts
• Must have strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills

• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
