The Loans Administrator assists with the day-to-day administration, processing and maintenance of loans, mortgages and lines of credit. In addition to reviewing and mitigating risks related to credit and collections, this position has an important role in ensuring the accuracy of the credit union’s records, files and reporting.
About Career HeadStart
We successfully launched our career development program in 2016. This 12-month paid internship offers valuable workplace experience, mentoring, and training and networking opportunities to recent post-secondary graduates so that they can successfully bridge the gap between school and career.
Through one-on-one coaching, mentoring and on-the-job training, you will develop an understanding of the full credit-granting process, including the many steps in the life cycle of a loan or mortgage as well as what is required to approve a loan, a line of credit or a mortgage.
Under certain conditions, the Loans Administrator may advance to the Assistant Underwriter in the second half of their Career HeadStart term. During this time, s/he will be involved in credit decisions.
