Pre-Sales Engineer At Hyperwallet

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

The Pre-Sales Engineer is a role which requires a mixture of business, sales, and technical ability. A successful candidate is a results driven individual who operates with a sense of humor when under pressure, can understand and communicate technical concepts, and enjoys selling. This individual must be able to work with little supervision and take initiative to hunt down a resource when they need to find answers or solve problems. This role supports the sales team by conceptualizing business models and building customized product demonstrations that position relevant value propositions.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Serves as a pre-sales resource by supporting the primary sales representative in the discovery process, evaluating business needs to identify the appropriate value position to win the opportunity
  • Works conjunction with the primary sales representative to close revenue opportunities
  • Configure and customize demo accounts
  • Conduct on-site and remote presentations, communicating the functionality and benefits of Hyperwallet’s technology and full suite of products and services
  • Develop, nurture, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support executive team in developing presentations and product demos where customizations are required
  • Partner with channel partner organizations to support education of their sales force
  • Support RFP responses. Maintains and manages RFP database
  • Keep current on industry trends and the competitive landscape
  • Participate in solution development for new accounts
  • Complete solution design documents, including process flows

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT or equivalent experience and training
  • 3+ years technology sales or product management experience
  • Ability to communicate and present to a variety of audiences
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask with minimal supervision
  • Capacity to work well with a team and independently
  • Good sense of humor
  • Proven ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence and experience with business platforms such as MS Office, Slack, Skype, Salesforce and virtual meeting tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and understanding customer technical/business needs and translating them into viable integrated solutions
  • Experience in the payments industry is a plus
