As such, HomeStars must invest in new technology to ensure the highest standards are met and only legitimate / trusted content is published. You will be instrumental in upholding this foundational mandate!
We have eleven years of rich data and over half a million active users, making it possible to take our connections & content for homeowners and home-related services to the next level. You will be responsible to leverage machine learning in order to drive business goals. As our Data Scientist, reporting to the CTO you’ll work closely with various functions to identify key areas where analytics can improve the business, in addition to taking a very hands-on approach to auditing our review content daily. You will audit our review content for trustability, ensuring it’s authentic and identifying any fraudulent activity. You will also be interacting with customer inquires via email in potentially high-stress situations.
Working closely with the Engineering team, your role will be to further develop and optimize internal processes to help scale moderation operations and workflows. The company is growing exponentially and this will be a key role to support quality content growth. You will work with our product team and software engineers to organize the data, analyze it, and create a plan of action for product and feature improvements as well as supporting the marketing and sales team to leverage insights from your analyses.
HomeStars is seeking a data scientist to capture insights and measure all released developments. In particular, this role will be involved in the implementation of our consumer facing recommendation score automation.
