ROLE DESCRIPTION

As the Marketing Automation Specialist, you are a marketing guru who is obsessed with all things marketing technology. You love to collaborate with cross-functional teams as a consultant for best practices. You’re highly focused on acquisition and conversion - it’s about generating quality leads and nurturing them along the funnel with the ultimate goal of driving revenue and repeat business. You play a hands-on and critical role in developing, assembling, and executing highly strategic marketing automation campaigns, from conception to set up to delivery, in order to tell our brand story or narrative in an impactful, engaging, and efficient manner. You are excited and passionate about optimizing: once a campaign is live, you’ll identify successes and areas of improvement for next time. You’re someone who is curious and committed to keeping on top of new developments in digital technologies that impact our audience’s preferences and present new opportunities to reach our customers in compelling and innovative ways. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively contribute to the Global Marketing Team in a collaborative and meaningful way that helps support, inspire, and motivate fellow colleagues and managers alike
  • Understand and become an expert in our industry, our business, our culture, and our customer, and use that knowledge to create effective, impactful, strategic, and shareworthy work
  • Working closely with the Global Lead, Marketing Automation and fellow Marketing Automation colleagues, lead the creation and execution of the global marketing automation strategies to deliver our brand story in a compelling manner, driving awareness, demand, engagement - and, ultimately, conversion/sales, and loyalty
  • Build, implement, and deploy triggered and batch email campaigns using audience segmentation, and integrate inbound marketing actions while highlighting any automation or process improvements
  • Work together with your Marketing Automation team and larger Global Marketing team to service our regional colleagues and help drive forward our company business goals
  • Automate the customer journey from start to finish to ensure a seamless and optimized customer experience
  • Generate ideas for acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention campaigns that integrate with all marketing efforts to support the brand
  • Execute, maintain, and improve the weekly email newsletter to our database
  • Work together with the Marketing Intelligence team to develop KPIs for every global or regional initiative, in line with our business goals
  • Develop, implement, track, and measure plans for email communications to evaluate and improve the results and relevancy of campaigns
  • Proactively communicate results and best practices to all key stakeholders. House these results in a common hub as key learnings for future reference
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative & Content team to maintain email templates, ensuring adherence with brand standards
  • Ensure that all global email communications comply with relevant legislation (eg. CASL, GDPR)
  • Lead with Service – we’re an in-house agency! – and contribute to an engaged and dynamic corporate culture


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor’s or College Degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology or other relevant field
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in a marketing automation capacity in-house or at an agency, working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Experience with Marketo or other automation tools
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, image editing, mobile optimization and email best practices
  • Solid knowledge and skills in acquisition and conversion marketing
  • Proven campaign management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a highly collaborative environment
  • Experience with a CRM tool (Salesforce preferred). Experience with PM software Workfront & Trello, an asset
  • Demonstrated ability with data management including audience analysis and segmentation, data capture, normalization
  • Analytically inclined and data oriented; passionate about the customer and the customer journey, both online and off
  • A strong critical thinker who has the ability to translate a creative brief grounded in consumer insights into compelling channel execution that embodies the marketing strategies and objectives
  • Demonstrates the ability to confidently present strategies, concepts, and results and to collaborate across departments
  • Demonstrates the ability to critique and discuss his/her own work and the work of others in a constructive manner
  • Possesses strong computer/technology skills and highly proficient in Google Suite
  • Positive and innovative attitude with the ability to thrive in a constantly changing industry and environment
  • Experience in media, hospitality and entertainment, travel and tourism or online retail is an asset
  • Broad knowledge of APIs in an automation context and experience with web personalisation tools, an asset
  • Fluent in German and/or French, an asset
