About the program:
Fivetran’s Tech Equity Pipeline program is a full-time, paid internship experience for college students, graduates and early-career professionals who are interested in working in the technology industry. These internships are 6 months in duration, with the potential of extension or conversion to full-time employment. Full-time interns at Fivetran are also eligible for medical, dental and vision benefits.
Fivetran believes diversity, equity and inclusion are the keys to creating a thriving workforce, and we have created this program to mentor and train underrepresented people in the technology industry in the fields of engineering, sales and beyond. People who identify with an underrepresented group including but not limited to Black, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander, individuals with disabilities, GLBTQIA, women and veterans are encouraged to apply.
About the Role:
Fivetran is looking for a talented, promising Software Engineering Intern who wants to grow their skills and impact at a fast-growing company. You'll learn to build challenging new features of our data pipeline service and to improve the quality of the existing systems. Successful completion of the 6-month internship can lead to a full-time position.
We're looking for people who can understand the key values that make our product great, and are excited to learn how to implement those values in the many small decisions you make every day as a developer.
Our expectations for you:
Whether or not you have a formal degree, we would like to see a history of learning and using computer programming and software technology.
We're looking for a demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly and confidently. We love working with people who take self-directed learning and exploration seriously! (and we offer a self-improvement budget so you can keep doing that while you're here)
Breadth of experience
We're looking for people who have been working on a variety of problems, and with a variety of tools for at least 2 years. Fivetran engineers are constantly working on problems they've never seen before, and we want to know that you like to work that way, too.
- Programming concepts (data structures, resource management, garbage collection, databases)
- Object oriented programming (delegation, reflection, inheritance, interfaces, encapsulation)
- Systems programming (TCP/IP network sockets, filesystems, memory management)
Pride in your work
Our team strives to ship the best product we can at Fivetran, and we hope that you take pride in your work as well.
