About the team
This position is for a newly created department (Legal Entity Accounting) which will be responsible for providing real-time oversight of financial results by International legal entity.
What you will be doing
Monitor and analyze balance sheet and income statement variances by legal entity.
Determine proper accounting treatment for various non-recurring intercompany transactions such as dividends paid, dividends received, capital contributions, etc.
Supports Global Transfer Pricing Strategy through collaboration with International Tax.
Reviewing processes and controls that impact the financial information related to legal entities and making recommendations for improvement.
Identify and proactively resolve issues that could result in financial misstatements and classification errors at a legal entity level.
Coordinate with Legal, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting, for legal entity special projects.
Manage various ad hoc and regular queries.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Proficient ability to create spreadsheets and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Knowledge of external auditing processes and procedures
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, practices and procedures
- Skill in analytical and statistical examination for complex problem solving
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prepare financial reports
- Ability to understand financial information
- Ability to interact with personnel on all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in an organized manner and consistently follow-up on tasks
Added bonus if you have
- A CPA with internal/external audit experience
- International accounting experience
- Considerable experience with reconciliations
