As an Instagram Product Strategist for Facebook, you’ll partner with our product teams to build and deliver products that empower businesses of all sizes. You’ll have a dual citizenship on the Creative Shop where you will lead our efforts to inspire advertisers and you will partner with our product management and product marketing teams to shepherd new products to market.
You’ll put your storytelling skills to work as you build product narratives worthy of being delivered on the most important industry stages. You’ll develop an approach that ensures the broader Creative Shop is well positioned to build work that supports the new products launched and new ways to develop advertising ideas. You’ll roll up your sleeves on scaling our ideas through products that democratize creativity across all scale of advertisers.
In this role, you will grow your influence across internal teams including marketing, sales, and product to uncover new ways to drive impact. You will manage long-term vision and deliver near-term impact for business products. You will be focused on redefining shopping on mobile for Instagram. You will be investigating, exploring and inspiring retailers, e-commerce and digital disruptors to new and novel ways to connect people to the things they love. You will be uncovering insights to make our shopping experience more seamless, more delightful and provide more impact to the advertisers who are on our platform. You will keep your ears and eyes on the ground to figure out what stories make people tick and move to buying something they may not even know they wanted. From planned purchases, to creating experiences that elicit desire, you will be uncovering the right experience for our community on Instagram that is authentic to the brand and to the Instagram experience. As part of this job, you will be meeting with the most innovative retailers through the Instagram Shopping Advisory Board in the business to pilot programs, to test and learn and to bring back inputs for creative product development. You will be thinking of the entire consumer journey from discovery to purchase - from the cross-platform experiences across the many FOAS platforms as well a traditional and non-traditional media that play a role. At 50,000 feet, you will be evolving shopping on mobile, and at 500 feet, you'll be using your abilities and all of the inputs above to push product innovation to new places.
This is a full-time position located in our New York, NY office.

Represent the Creative Shop and the needs of marketers in the strategic decisions connected to Instagram and Facebook's ad and commerce products.
Partner with product management, product design and product marketing teams to develop and release new products developed specifically for small and medium businesses.
Help lead, develop and deliver the most important stories about product that Instagram and Facebook needs the world to know.
Run point in deploying alpha/beta opportunities for the Creative Shop to create/co-create on the next set of ad products.
Develop creative and strategic frameworks to push the broader Creative Shop and creative industry to experiment and create new ways to inspire people through our product offerings.
Work with others on the Creative Shop Regional and Global team to develop product hypotheses and co-develop work that tests these ideas.
Work hand-in-hand with key cross-functional partners to create scalable best practices, playbooks, programs focused on product adoption and growth.
Build empathy within our product teams for the needs of small and medium businesses.

10+ years of experience in brand marketing/advertising or product management
3+ years of experience working with retail, e-commerce and direct response clients
Knowledge of consumer journey from discovery to conversion for retail and e-commerce
Experience in product development and knowledge of product life cycles
Experience working with product teams including product managers, engineers and product designers
Experience working with engineering teams and experience prioritizing
Experience understanding and using data to inform your work
Storytelling and communications experience
Strategic: Knowledge of digital marketing and product roadmaps and how to build strategies across multiple verticals
