Marketing Project Manager At Egencia

Location: Chicago, Illinois

The Marketing Project Manager will work closely with our production, operations, digital marketing teams; as well as across our social media channels with fluidity. Experience across the use of rich media types, analytics and data approach, and video creation a plus. This multi-faceted position would suit a gifted story teller, idea generator and problem-solver, with a penchant for process and project management all rolled into one. You will be able to switch from conceptual to critical thinking and back again at the drop of a hat while staying organized and maintaining a focus on delivery and quality.

What You Will Do:

  • Work directly with our product marketing team to collaborate on product launches to define goals and gather requirements and technical details that inform creative strategy.
  • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, defining storylines and writing abstracts, website copy, blogs, emails and product demo scripts; coordinate with product marketers to gather required data, key messages and talking points.
  • Create and deliver project briefs that align with established bill of materials (BOMs) and work directly with writers and creatives teams to deliver outstanding, on message and on time content.
  • Own the submissions of project intakes, maintain and adjust delivery schedules, and communicate and provide updates across teams and to relevant stakeholders.
  • Understand requirements for go to market execution (i.e. marketing automation, website, social media channels, etc.) and consistently and accurately provide these details to production resources to support efficient delivery.
  • Think in an unexpected way to creatively identify and execute go-to-market offer, product, and services marketing initiatives which support global marketing campaigns.
  • Execute product marketing initiatives in alignment with Demand, Field and Customer marketing activities to increase conversion. Ensure projects stay on schedule, people stay on task and deliver information needed to deliver exceptional work – largely through Workfront.
  • Effectively integrate data insights and product features, both quantitative and qualitative, into assets, planning and problem solving.
  • Develop a depth of knowledge of both customer and prospect personas and the customer journey.
  • Consult and engage with across teams, outside firms and freelancers to define and scope projects while upholding defined Egencia brand guidelines and aligning deliverables to defined campaign stories and goals.

What You Bring:

  • The ability to handle and prioritize across multiple project and initiatives with a willingness to ask questions and a desire to communicate effectively with partners.

  • Focused, organized, efficient: able to handle multiple, complex decisions at once, across multiple teams, time zones, and cultures.
  • A commitment to always improve, both in processes and quality of program execution.
  • An analytical mindset that allows you to provide detailed analysis of business impact.
  • An understanding of how marketing impacts the organization health and business at large.
  • Experience working with multiple teams, and with agencies and vendors, in an agile system to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Direct experience defining projects scopes, creating or completing briefs and working with creative teams and writers.
  • Adobe Suite, Photoshop, INDD, Spark, PowerPoint - all a plus!
  • B2B, global marketing and project management tool experience – another plus!
  • A BA/MA degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
