Omnia AI, Deloitte’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) practice is comprised of specialized experts with hands-on experience, and cutting-edge information assets that facilitate successful AI transformations. We develop AI-enabled solutions to address all aspects of a client’s transformative journey with disciplined focus on business outcomes.


We are looking for candidates that display initiative, creativity, out-of-the-box thinking and have a keen eye for problem solving, high design sensibility, attention to details and executing deliverables to a variety of clients.


Role Description:


  • Create various custom applications that tailor towards different clients by working with multiple teams and understanding the business needs of both the clients and the internal teams
  • Work closely with product management, design, and analytic teams to define application requirements/user stories
  • Design and develop front-end interfaces, backend systems with multiple programming languages and frameworks
  • Consistently write effective code that is stable, secure, scalable and efficient
  • Accurately define effort requirements and manage personal workflow to ensure the deliverables are created on time and in budget
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members for professional development

Qualifications:


Successful candidates will have the following qualifications and characteristics:


  • Enrolled in a undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering or other related programs
  • Currently enrolled in the University of Toronto PEY program
  • Exposure building software solutions in a corporate or start up engineering environment using JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, Python, C++ and/or Java / C#, etc
  • Linux system knowledge and scripting in a Linux environment (is a plus)
  • Exposure developing web applications
  • Exposure of front end technologies ranging from HTML, CSS, React / Ember / Angular, etc
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases and SQL
  • Passion for UI / UX (is a plus)
  • Comfortable in delivering oral presentations (is a plus)
  • Some exposure to analyzing business requirements
  • Experience in developing technical solutions to business opportunities (i.e. improving client’s sales efforts)
