Senior Product Manager At Cvent

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

Cvent is a leading cloud-based enterprise event management platform that offers software solutions to event planners for online event registration, venue selection, event management, mobile apps for events, e-mail marketing and web surveys. Our solutions optimize the entire event management value chain and have enabled clients around the world to manage hundreds of thousands of meetings and events.

Cvent is looking for a Sr Product Manager to join our rapidly growing company to work on our Mobile Products. As a Sr Product Manager, you will help execute on the vision of the product roadmap. You will lead agile scrum teams to execute projects while demonstrating sound judgment, critical and analytical thinking skills, leadership, and a sense of urgency. Fostering a team environment of shared ownership and being able to drive decisions effectively within the technology and business teams is essential.

This position will be located in our Vancouver office.

The Scope of Responsibility Includes:

  • Support the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning and conceptualization to tactical activities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on needs analysis, business requirements documents, and business process flow diagrams
  • Be a creative force in working closely with the user experience team to deliver state-of-the-art user experiences
  • Act as a liaison between product end user communities (internal and external users), business partners, and the technology team
  • Proactively manage and balance multiple stakeholders’ expectations regarding feature request prioritization and deployment
  • Communicate and provide training on new product enhancements
  • Evangelize products internally across all functions of the business
  • Support sales efforts with participation in prospective client/partner meetings, as required
  • Lead competitive analysis efforts as it relates to marketing, sales and product strategy
  • Develop and maintain a keen understanding of competitive products and offerings
  • Participate in market and industry research to keep abreast of event planning and meetings management, applying market intelligence findings into product features and enhancements

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of product management experience, leading web or mobile development teams
  • Solid understanding of agile product management and software development methodologies
  • Passion for building great products that make users’ lives better
  • Proven ability to interact and collaborate across the organization, including working closely with marketing, sales, professional services and customer support
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to drive clarity and precision in product requirements
  • Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks, while driving results
  • Intense curiosity and ability to learn the event business quickly
