What We Do
The Finance Department provides a variety of services to other City departments and to the public that includes finance/accounting, budget, and revenue. The Finance Department is responsible for the management and oversight of the City's budget, purchasing, accounts receivable and payable, investments, business tax collection, audits, business and transient occupancy tax collections, cashiering functions, utility billing and accounting activities.
What We're Looking For
The City of Beverly Hills is seeking an outstanding Accounting Technician with exceptional technical accounting skills to perform a variety of accounting duties for the Finance Department's Accounting Division. The Accounting Technician may participate in the preparation of financial statements, journal entries, schedules, data entry of invoices, refunds, and expense claims, and other financial reports. In addition to being detail oriented and possessing excellent customer service and communication skills, the ideal candidate should be innovative, forward-thinking, and looking for ways to improve processes, and increase efficiencies. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Having a conviction history does not automatically preclude you from a job with the City. If you are selected as a finalist, you will be contacted to schedule a fingerprinting appointment.

Disaster Service Workers: All City of Beverly Hills employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state and local law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109). Employment with the City requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Worker-related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
An Accounting Technician performs technical accounting work in the preparation, maintenance and processing of accounting records and payroll and financial and payroll transactions.
