Talent Acquisition Specialist At Circle of Care

We are looking for: Talent Acquisition Specialist (Full-time, Permanent)
Hours: 34 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: $48,000 - $52,000 per annum

Job Description
Reporting to the VP, Human Resources and Volunteer Services, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will perform various functions of Human Resources with specific accountabilities in talent acquisition. As the first point of contact for initial interaction with potential candidates and employees, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will require strong customer service skills, superior presentation ability and model professional behavior to support the full cycle recruitment process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with the HR team to develop creative strategies that attract, recruit and retain exceptional talent. This individual will build support for Circle of Care and the HR departments’ strategic goals and objectives by communicating, collaborating and leading by example.

Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle recruitment of agency roles including but not limited to preparing job postings, reviewing resumes though ATS, interview and evaluate candidates, preparing offers and coordination of new hire activities
  • Develop and improve interview guides and job profiles
  • Manage current relationships with external providers, associations, schools and other stakeholders and develop new opportunities to expand on our current recruitment reach and talent sourcing
  • Support the employee onboarding process and leverage best practices to improve on the employee experience
  • Monitor and maintain monthly recruitment metrics to identify gaps and improve on current talent acquisition practices strategies and processes
  • Lead the student program at Circle of Care and create a memorable student experience by using best practices and creative ideas to attract students
  • Work with HR team to build on the current student portal, PSW portal and agency intranet/ internet
  • In collaboration with the HR team and Marketing and Communications team, build and promote customized recruitment campaigns and presence on social media platforms
  • Act as a brand ambassador and actively participate and organize career fairs, presentations at different schools and external promotion of agency roles at external sites
  • Provide insight to HR team on talent management strategies including future applicant pipelines, sourcing strategies, retaining top talent etc.
  • Actively participate in HR Team, collaborate with, and provide solutions/support to team members to achieve strategic goals and objectives
  • Participate and assist in various Human Resource programs that support the Human Resource needs of our business partners and the strategic initiatives of the Agency
  • Provide support to HR team on ad hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • University degree in a related Human Resources or business discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on talent acquisition
  • Human Resources Management Certificate is preferred
  • Must be CHRP/CHRL certified
  • Proven success and ability at developing talent acquisition programs, improving recruitment processes, employee experience and onboarding and building relationships with external stakeholders
  • Familiarity working with an agency intranet/internet, portals, various job boards, and social media platforms as talent sourcing techniques
  • Experience in the non-profit sector, unionized environment and community healthcare is an asset
  • Knowledge of current legislations, collective agreements where applicable and best HR practices
  • Proven ability and effectiveness at managing large recruitment portfolios
  • Experience with creating HR metrics reports and using applicant tracking systems
  • Excellent analytical, oral, written, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations and perform work independently
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to engage and facilitate career events
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and applicant tracking systems
  • Travel to other sites on occasion will be required (i.e. Career fairs etc.)
