As a new Business Analyst, you’ll join the Canada Analyst Development Program (CADP), which takes place over your first year here andinvolves hands on training, a case competition, social and networking events, and more.You’ll take part in this program while working on one of our awesome teams across the Toronto office(located in the heart of downtown!).

We have a ton ofamazingBusiness Analystswho joined us straight out of school. To give you an idea of where they came from, what they did and where they are now,here are a few examples:

  • Marie-Carladid her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Financial Mathematics and a minor in Economicsfrom Waterloo. Shewas also a volunteer math tutor. At Capital One, her first role was on our valuations team where she used historical data to model customer credit cardbehaviour.She also joined the Women in Tech network and later went on to lead it.She’s now a Sr. Manager leadinga cross-functional Product Strategy


  • Becca did her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Marketing. Shealso competed in case competitions across Canada andabroad.At Capital One, her first role was on our digital analytics team, optimizing our website experience for different customer segments.She was also once ranked 4thon the office wide pongpongladder (no big deal…but really…it is).She’s now a Director leading our Customer Engagement Team


  • Sidharthstudied Mechanical Engineeringand was also a computer science tutor. At Capital One, his first role was on the Credit team, working on increasing credit limits for customers who demonstrate responsible use of credit. He’s also an avid ice hockey player and appreciates the flexibility he has in his schedule so that he can always make his games. Sidharth is now aSr. Business Analystworking on our Credit Risk team


TheBasics…What We Need from You!

  • Will have obtained aBachelor’sdegree or higherbetween December 2017and August 2019


The Extras…What would be great for you to have:

  • A degree inCommerce, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. If you know how to build models or write code, that’s awesome. If not, don’t worry – we’ll teach you if it’s key to your role

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas both verbally and in writing
