Description du poste

CAE étant un chef de file mondial en formation, ce poste est au cœur de la mission de l’entreprise. L’entraînement des pilotes passe effectivement par le système de Briefing et le Débriefing qui est au cœur de la session d’entraînement.


Ainsi, en tant que membre du groupe d’expérience de formation, vous ferez partie de l’équipe qui développe, intègre et configure ce système de briefing/débriefing, élément clé de l’entraînement des pilotes sur les simulateurs.


Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec l’ensemble des développeurs des différents systèmes du simulateur, que ce soit au niveau des systèmes véhicules, visuels, d’environnement synthétique et autres.


Vous serez appelés à travailler sur un système qui s’occupe de monitorer les sessions d’entraînements, de les enregistrer et même de les faire rejouer afin que les instructeurs puissent les utiliser pour évaluer les pilotes et les aider à s’améliorer.


Vos principales tâches seront les suivantes :

  • Développer, intégrer, configurer et installer le système de Briefing/Débrifing (oui, vous aurez la chance d’utiliser des simulateurs)
  • Analyser et débugger le système lorsque des anomalies sont relevées soit par les clients externes ou par les équipes de vérification et validation.
  • Interagir avec les ingénieurs des différents systèmes véhicules, visuels et d’environnement synthétique afin d’assurer que tous les paramètres de la simulation sont capturés par le système de Briefing/Débriefing
  • Participer au rencontres journalières et hebdomadaires de l’équipe afin de communiquer votre progrès et s’assurer de travailler dans la bonne voie.
  • Proposer des idées et faire de la rétroaction quant au développement de systèmes de soutien à l'apprentissage.

Exigences

  • Baccalauréat en génie informatique, génie logiciel, génie électrique ou autres domaines pertinents.
  • 5 ans d’expérience en développement logiciel
  • Connaissance des langages de programmation C++/C#
  • Expérience avec les outils de développement et de conception existants.
  • Connaissance de HTML, Java, Javascript est un atout.
  • Connaissance de la méthodologie Agile est un atout
  • Esprit d'équipe.
  • Pensée analytique : capacité à comprendre rapidement les règles de conception des applications, la mécanique, les concepts et techniques
  • d'équilibrage.
  • Créativité : penser en dehors de la boîte, être capable de voir les choses dans une perspective différente
  • Le bilinguisme (français et anglais) est requis.

Job description

As CAE is the global training leader, this position is at the heart of the company’s mission. The Briefing and Debriefing System (BDS) is a crucial element during a training session to complete the training of pilots.


As a member of the Training Experience group, you will be part of the team that develops, integrates and configures the BDS as a product that is used on most flight simulators in both the Civil and Defense & Security business units.


You will be working closely with all software developers of various systems like aircraft systems, graphics and visual systems, synthetic environment and many others.


You will be working on a system that takes care of monitoring training sessions, record them, play them back and give a full set of information to both the student and the instructor as to what happened during the training session, what went well and what could be improved.


Your main tasks during your internship will be to:

  • Develop, integrate, configure and install the Brief/Debrief System (BDS) on different simulators (yes, you will actually have the chance to use the simulators)
  • Analyze and debug the system when issues are detected by either internal or external customers or by the verification and validation team.
  • Interact with engineers of various systems, notably aircraft specialists, visual and synthetic environment specialists to make sure that all their parameters are captured by the BDS.
  • Participate to daily and weekly team meetings to communicate your progress, identify roadblocks and keep focused on the objectives.
  • Be part of the design team and make suggestions to improve the design and development of this critical learning tool.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or any other related fields
  • 5 years of experience in software development
  • Strong knowledge of C++/C#
  • Experience in an Agile environment is an asset
  • Experience with design and software development tools and environment
  • Knowledge of HTML, Java, Javascript, Jira, GIT is an asset.
  • Experience with Agile is an asset
  • Team work
  • Creativity: think outside the box, give a different perspective to the way we work.
  • Bilingual (French & English).
