Role and Responsibilities

Vos défis

  • Chargé de projets d’essais : élaboration des exigences avec le client; élaboration du plan d’essai; écriture/codage des essais, exécution des essais (sur bancs avioniques, bancs intégrés, simulateur complet et avion), élaboration du rapport des déficiences, qualification du logiciel avant le déploiement sur la flotte de CF-18.
  • Tester les améliorations ou la conception de nouvelles fonctionnalités pour les trois logiciels embarqués suivants : ordinateurs de mission, ordinateur d’armements et contrôleur de communication.
  • Projets innovateurs et captivants qui optimisent l’efficacité opérationnelle du CF-18. Entre autres : améliorations des indicateurs de performance des missiles ainsi que des nouvelles bombes guidées par GPS et LASER, développement de la navigation au GPS, intégration du nouveau capteur infrarouge, intégration du nouveau système de transmission de données MIDS, etc.
  • Être disposé à travailler avec les spécialistes opérationnels (pilotes de CF-18).
  • Possibilité d’offrir un soutien au sol aux Forces armées canadiennes lors des exercices en vol (Bold Quest, Maple Flag, etc.).
  • Les travaux seront effectués majoritairement à Mirabel (occasionnellement à Ville Saint Laurent).

Vos forces

  • Baccalauréat en génie.
  • 0-7 ans d'expérience professionnelle.
  • Programmation C et C++.
  • Programmation C#, un atout
  • Connaissance en aéronautique ou en avionique, ou en essai, un atout.
  • Expérience en développement, en intégration ou en essai de logiciels en temps réel embarqués, un atout.
  • Connaissances du fonctionnement des systèmes d’avions commerciaux ou militaires, des systèmes avioniques, des processus d’essai, des postes d’essais intégrés ou des simulateurs, un atout.
  • Aptitude à travailler au sein d’une équipe et à interagir avec différents groupes multidisciplinaires.
  • Aptitudes à communiquer en anglais et français (tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit) dans le domaine technique.

Requis Opérationnels


  • Doit être éligible à l’enregistrement au programme des marchandises contrôlées
  • Doit être éligible à l’obtention et au maintien de la cote de fiabilité du gouvernement du Canada, et de la cote de sécurité niveau 2 (secret).
  • Le lieu de travail principal n’est pas accessible via les transports en commun. Une voiture est requise.

Your challenges

  • Test Project Engineer: develop requirements with the client; develop test plan; write/code tests; execute tests (on avionics benches, integrated benches, full simulator and the aircraft); report anomalies; software qualification before deployment on CF-18 fleet.
  • Test improvements and/or the design of new functionalities for the following three onboard software applications: mission computer, armament computer and communication control unit.
  • Innovative and captivating projects that optimize the operational effectiveness of the CF-18. Among others: improve performance indicators of missile and new GPS and LASER guided bombs, develop GPS navigation, integrate new infrared detector, integrate new MIDS data transmission system, etc.
  • Must work with operational specialists (CF-18 pilots).
  • Possibility of supporting the Canadian Armed Forces on the ground during flight exercises (Bold Quest, Maple Flag, etc.).
  • Work will be performed mostly in Mirabel (occasionally in Saint-Laurent).

  • Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
  • Main work location is not accessible via public transportation. A car is needed.
