Position overview:

The primary objective of the Account Executive is to drive sales of the TELUS suite of business solutions within the SMB marketplace, through developing the account strategy, executive relationship management and negotiations.

Desired Skills:

  • Confident to teach the client something new or challenge their thinking. Able to offer insight.
  • Deliver information and ideas to help customers compete, save money or make money in ways they didn’t know were possible
  • Tailoring discussions to build consensus among decision makers to address the specific quantifiable results that each individual customer wants to achieve
  • Able to take control and not be deterred by hesitation from customers, especially important when it comes to conversations about the commercial value of a deal
  • Adept at managing constructive tension throughout the sales process and proven success in earning customer loyalty
  • Can manage a customer life cycle through acquisition, growth and retention
  • Attention to detail, processes and systems designed to enable and support your success
  • Invests in continuous learning
  • Tech and social media savvy

Experience:

  • College or University degree or relevant business experience
  • 2+ years B2B sales experience
  • Technology and/or a solution selling background is an advantage
  • Track record of achievement through education, community and business
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and customer relationship management systems
  • Excellent communications skills including proposal development, presentations and networking
