Sales Representative (Regional Account Manager) At Bunge

Location: Oakville, Ontario

Job Description

Overview:


Full responsibility for managing Bunge Canada’s customer base in South & Latin America and Caribbean which consists primarily of food industry manufacturers. Main activities are prospecting new business, maintaining and developing relationships with existing Bunge customers, and developing the business with several Bunge divisions overseas.


Position duties:

  • Direct Selling, responsible for managing the export sales process, prospecting, contract negotiation, and proposals to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Develop and execute market plan including strategic sales objectives, and a tactical plan to meet annual sales targets.
  • Develop sales plans for the international affiliates of key national accounts.
  • Provide recommendations based on the understanding of commodity and foreign exchange markets, and their influence on product prices.
  • Propose product solutions to clients by applying their specific requirements, i.e. production process, logistics, product application, technical characteristics, and ingredients.
  • Prepare individual tailored pricing quotes and sales contracts.
  • Knowledge about all variants that affect margins, such as product logistics and cost, CBOT future, and exchange rate.
  • Prepare and present regular updates, reports on sales metrics, and market intel to Senior Management.
  • Establishing and maintaining account relationships across a broad range of functions including the customer’s executive team.
  • Administer ongoing customer technical support, resolving complaints, and troubleshooting technical problems.
  • Collaborating with Marketing and Innovation, Product Management teams, customer resource teams, and other Bunge divisions to facilitate successful completion of business growth.
  • Managing projects, leads and opportunities on Saleforce.com.
  • Proceed with analysis using Tableau and SAP BI.
  • Prospect new opportunities using Social Selling techniques.
  • Plan and attend meetings and events to generate new opportunities of business.

Duration: Position is Full time, 37.5 hours/week

Languages: English essential, Spanish & Portuguese preferred

Wage range: $87,750- $90,200

Bonus: 15%

Location of work: Oakville, ON Canada

Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agribusiness or related discipline

Work experience requirement:

  • Knowledge of Latin America, Caribbean and South American food market
  • Working understanding of commodity trading
  • Strong Analytical skills working with Pivot tables and other analytical software
  • SAP and Salesforce knowledge an asset
  • 5 years experience selling agricultural food products
