that offers a two-year diploma program, a new four year Bachelor of Engineering degree program, a range of continuing education courses, and a developing research program.
The Mineral Exploration and Mining Technology Diploma Program is a broad-based, intensive, two-year program that prepares students for employment as technologists in the mining and mineral exploration industries. The new bachelor degree in Mining and Mineral Resource Engineering is the first bachelor program in Canada to offer a combination of geology, mineral exploration, and mining engineering, and prepares graduates to take a leading role in the discovery, evaluation, development, operation, and remediation of mineral resource projects. Program faculty are key to the success of the department through excellence in instruction, close ties with industry and by mentoring and motivating students to graduate and be eligible for professional registration .
We are currently seeking a temporary, part-time (0.5) Assistant Instructor for the Fall term (August 20 to December 21, 2018) to teach a variety of undergraduate-level geology and mineral exploration courses in both the degree and diploma programs. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, and team-oriented professional with a broad practical knowledge in mineral exploration and mining.
