We’re looking for a technical minded professional to add to our Technical Assistance Center team in Ottawa.
What will your job look like?
You will have a direct impact on the ongoing health of production environments.
You will have ownership in resolving issues encountered by the customer, with backup from technical experts within Amdocs, and 3rd party teams where applicable.
Your job will often involve reproducing issues in Amdocs labs, and/or in the customers’ own labs, to help determine the best path to resolution.
You will participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation shared with the rest of the team.
You will help keep internal knowledge, and policies & procedures, up to date in order to assist the team in delivering optimal customer support.
What you need is
3+ years of previous technical support experience working directly with enterprise and corporate accounts, internal sales and deployment teams, and/or channel partners.
3+ years of practical experience working with Linux (or Unix) operating systems.Applicants must demonstrate good working knowledge of system commands and diagnostic functions.
The ability to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP and UDP), network protocols (Diameter, RADIUS), and network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, using your own initiative.
Excellent organizational, and communication skills are a must.
Proven skills in solving complex software and network related issues.
Extra Credit for:
Layer 2/3 network troubleshooting experience
Router/switch/load balancer/DRA troubleshooting experience
Experience and working knowledge of 3G/4G telecommunication systems
Hands on experience with Gx/Gy/S6a/Rx and Sh interfaces
NFV / VM (OpenStack) / Orchestration / NoSQL
