Key Accounts Manager - Wine & Craft Spirits At Breakthru Beverage Group

Job Description

Drive volume and grow business portfolio in accounts and on annual, monthly, customer and brand basis. Manage relationships with accounts. Work closely with Trade Development, supplier counterparts, field sales, customers and District Managers to manage business and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of annual plans for key accounts that state agreed brand and consumer strategies and insure the delivery of business goals
  • Manage and evaluate through Trade Development all promotional spending by account priority with regards to performance and implement corrective business building actions
  • Beat the plan and competition through net sales value, growing share and volume.
  • Promotional calendar implemented flawlessly across all stores in selected accounts
  • Ensure approval of new items/innovation brands and SKUs on a time timely basis
  • Proactively participate with Trade Development and Sales Management in strategy briefing sessions while continuously providing feedback on program execution and effectiveness
  • Assist Sales Management and Trade Development in the development of account specific presentations as well as goals for distribution and merchandising promotion execution
  • Analyze competitive activities and generate insights to create a competitive advantage.
  • Assign and achieve goals by account, ensure accurate sales forecasting activities.
  • Relationships nurtured at every level with customer
  • Provide on-going and current assessments of the results of plans by channel, key account and individual customer
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development of direct reports where applicable
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel and MS Office
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and problem solving skills
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Capable of seeking out new ideas, exhibit initiative and be proactive
  • Managing complex customer relationships
  • Excellent Negotiation and Persuasive Selling Skills
  • Successful track record of working with the LCBO and managing Vintages.
  • Sound knowledge of Liquor Board Regulations, market trends and competition is critical
  • Relevant cross-functional experience (finance, operations, IT, HR, project management, etc)

  • Frequent hand motion to perform various duties
  • Occasional immediate reaching, minimal overhead reaching to perform various duties
  • Occasional standing and occasional walking for short amounts of time to perform various duties
  • Extended sitting for long periods of time at desk or workstation
