The Senior Specialist, Digital Communications Content Strategy, is a digital content expert and key member of BNY Mellon’s Content Strategy Center of Expertise. This individual will coordinate with colleagues across the company to plan, execute and optimize digital content and campaigns on BNY Mellon’s largest digital channels, including the newsroom and social media. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital content strategy, as well as significant experience with content management systems and social media publishing. The position is based in NYC and reports to the Head of External Content and Channel Strategy.
Manage BNY Mellon Newsroom, including the strategy, planning, publishing, optimization and analysis of Newsroom content.
Lead bi-weekly Content Planning and Coordination meetings focused on the coordination and sharing of content across businesses and regions.
Assist with social media publishing for BNY Mellon’s largest social handles on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Lead BNY Mellon’s social monitoring and escalation efforts.
Conduct social media training and advise on best practices.
Plan and oversee the optimization of content in a variety of engaging formats (e.g., articles, videos, executive blogs, infographics, etc.).
Work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications colleagues, subject matter experts, legal and compliance.
Analyze content metrics, share insights and adjust plans with a focus on continuous improvement.
Technically savvy and experienced with content management systems and social media publishing platforms.
Ability to respond quickly and implement crisis communications as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong collaboration skills, team-oriented and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High degree of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyze, critique and offer recommendations for improvement.
